2025 Kia EV9 GT: Kia’s High-Performance EV is Set to Make its Debut

When you go to a Kia dealer in 2025, there will be a new version of the popular Kia EV9. The Kia EV9 GT trim is arriving with more power and more features to increase performance. This new Kia combines the utility of a mid-size SUV with the power and performance of a sports car.
How Much Power Does the Kia EV9 GT Have?
Kia is putting the competition on notice with the EV9 GT. The two high-output electric motors that power the EV9 GT work together to produce 379 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. It carries the spirit of the Kia Stinger by having the capability of sprinting from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. This is 2.5 seconds faster than the quickest version of the gas-powered Kia Telluride.
But the EV9 GT is not only good at accelerating quickly but it’s also quick to come to a stop when you need it to. Press on the brakes, and you’ll come to a complete stop in 118 feet, even if you’re going 60 mph. This is thanks to increased regeneration for the electric braking system.
With such a big increase in power, the Kia EV9 needed some additional upgrades to make sure drivers have a stable ride. This comes by way of a reinforced suspension.
The Kia EV9 GT Gets More Than Just a Power Upgrade
The EV9 GT is a performance electric SUV that not only thinks about driving dynamics but also how you feel in the cabin. The front seats will have extra bolstering and redesigned lumbar support to help keep passengers in place when taking tight corners. Neon green piping, along with the GT logo stitched into the headrests, gives this version of the EV9 a sporty feel.
A Full Suite of Safety Technology
A full suite of advanced driver aids will come standard with the Kia EV9 GT. It includes a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert.
An intersection collision mitigation system will warn you of a potential collision when crossing through an intersection, and evasive steering assist will help you avoid frontal collisions.
A Tech-Filled Cabin
The infotainment system in the EV9 GT will sit in a 12.3-inch touchscreen. You can expect to see some new graphics and a new Active Sound Design menu. Like the regular EV9, it will come loaded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and Kia Connect connected services. An integrated navigation system makes it easy to get directions when you need them, and if you need to plug in extra devices, there are USB ports both in the front and second rows.
If you want more from your next family-friendly SUV, check out the 2025 Kia EV9 GT at your Kia dealer. It has the space and features you want for a daily driver, but it’s got the heart of a performance vehicle.
