Everything We Know About the 2025 Jeep Recon

The 2025 Jeep Recon is quietly being positioned to be the Jeep EV that launches the brand into an electric future. With a Wrangler-inspired design and off-road chops, the Jeep Recon is expected to hit your local Jeep dealership sometime next year. Let’s take a look at everything we know about this electric addition to the Jeep lineup.

2025 Jeep Recon Rundown

The 2025 Jeep Recon will be built on the STLA Large platform with unibody construction. It’s expected to feature a dual-motor electric drivetrain and deliver about 350 miles of range on a single charge. For off-road features, it will be Trail Rated and come with BF Goodrich AT tires. Inside, rubber flooring continues the off-road aesthetic.

Its exterior design is clearly inspired by the Wrangler with a boxy, upright profile. It’s expected to have removable doors, a one-touch sliding roof, and openable rear quarter windows and rear glass. The front end features a lighted seven-slot grille with blue accents.

Like the Wrangler, the Recon will offer a wide range of customization, including upgraded off-road hardware, special decals, and different spare tire covers. The Recon features an independent suspension all around for better handling on and off the pavement.

Trail Rated Features and Wrangler-Inspired Design

There’s no escaping the obvious fact that the Recon is inspired by the Wrangler. However, it’s also just different enough to appeal to a wider demographic. Like the Wrangler, the 2025 Jeep Recon will feature removable doors and a seven-slot grille. Despite its more civilized manners, the Recon is expected to offer a ton of off-road equipment.

Jeep has outfitted the Recon with the Trail Rated badge and it will come with all-terrain tires from BF Goodrich. One of the things that makes the Wrangler so popular is how many options it offers for personalization. The Recon is expected to follow this path as well, giving buyers plenty of options to make theirs one of a kind.

The Recon will be using the STLA Large platform, which differs from the upcoming Wrangler EV’s use of the STLA Frame platform. This means that the Recon should offer a more civilized on-road experience compared to the body-on-frame Wrangler

Capability and Availability

Nothing has been confirmed for the Recon’s range or when exactly it will be available. However, the Jeep CEO did say that its first full year of production will be 2025 and will be available at your local Jeep Dealership. The production model will likely be revealed later this year before it goes into production next year.

Similarly, there hasn’t been any official confirmation of the Recon’s power output, battery pack, or range. However, some rumors have the Recon offering roughly 350 miles of range and featuring a standard dual-motor drivetrain. The 2025 Jeep Recon is expected to start at around $60,000. It will begin production in 2025 and be delivered to dealerships in the early part of the year.

With a combination of off-road ability, cutting-edge EV technology, and Jeep’s legendary reputation for tackling rugged terrain, the 2025 Recon should be a true force in the EV market.
