Previews of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade are out, but it’s not clear if everything will translate into the US-spec model. That one is likely to be revealed sometime in 2025. However, we can glean some details from the Korean model. The Palisade is ready for a redesign in its next generation, and the Korean model shows a sharp, square shape that imparts a sense of elegance.

Hyundai Palisade Enters a New Generation of Style

This distinctive style appears to be a trait that Hyundai cultivates, with many models showcasing expressive designs and futuristic lighting. The recently-revealed Ioniq 9 and the new Santa Fe have both revealed standout designs lately, and the Palisade could be next if the Korean model is any indication. The new Palisade isn’t quite as bold as the Santa Fe, but it does have sharper angles and a more square shape than before.

Interestingly, the shaper, squared-off shape gives the new Hyundai Palisade an increased elegance. Hidden headlights flank the boxy grille for a distinctive look. The sides of the new Palisade are smooth with sculpted wheel arches. The 21-inch wheels revealed on the Korean model feature an intricate spoke design as well. The bezel on the rear roof pillars connects with the roof rails for a decorative touch.

More Upscale Interior

The Hyundai Palisade’s cabin is even more upscale than before, with an oval dash design that still features physical controls. The sound system and HVAC have various buttons and knobs to make operation easier. The curved digital display is also a new feature for the interior appearance, as well as the three-spoke steering wheel that doesn’t include a badge. The electronic shifter is now located on the steering column.

The console showcases a user-friendly layout with a charging pad and several outlets. According to Hyundai, the new Palisade and possible Palisade Hybrid will have a longer wheelbase, but it’s not known how much bigger it is than the current 114.2-inch size. However, the larger exterior dimensions should translate to a roomier cabin. There’s seating for seven or nine passengers. To maximize passenger space, the front console can be lifted to create a bench seat in the front and, thus, another seat. It’s not clear if this feature will be in the US model.

2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Details Coming Soon

Even though the Korean-spec model of the new Hyundai Palisade is probably a good preview of what’s to come, it will likely be some time yet before more details and pricing will be revealed for the 2026 Palisade in North America. The current Palisade only offers a V6 gas engine, but there are rumors that Hyundai might offer a hybrid or plug-in hybrid model as well. There’s also a possibility that a turbocharged four-cylinder will be the standard engine.

The current Palisade starts at $38,000 and goes up to over $55,000. However, the 2026 Palisade is likely to have a higher price range. A hybrid model will most likely arrive in the second half of the year after the gas model is released.
